Randy was born in Izmir, Turkey. His first job in the building field was delivering paint and glass by bicycle to construction sites in his hometown at the age of 11. When he immigrated to the United States in 1979, Randy spoke a number of languages, but no English. He served in the U.S. Army for six years, mainly to learn English.
Before coming to Allen Construction, Randy worked as an on-site property manager for a 190-unit apartment complex, where he learned plumbing, carpentry, painting, renovation, and management skills. He also worked for a real estate company, where he managed 300 properties. After getting his real estate license, Randy started his own business providing the real estate industry and individual property owners with tenant improvements and handyman services.
Randy joined Allen in 2001 as a technician for its new Care & Repair Division, a division he now oversees as the Production Manager. On average, Allen Care & Repair completes 80 jobs of varying sizes each year. Because of the number of happy clients Randy’s division has, a large portion of Allen Care & Repair’s work comes from repeat and referral customers.
When he’s not on the job, you can find Randy fishing and hunting with his son, appropriately named Fisher; camping; traveling with his wife, Marilyn; or competing in national shotgun sporting events.
